- One person on email. One packaging specialist handles your order from the first sketch to delivery. You won't be passed between departments.
- Plan from the proof, not the first email. Production takes 10–12 days from proof approval. Shipping to Los Angeles is on top of that.

California rules
California packaging laws to know before you print.
If you sell in Los Angeles, two state laws affect what your box is made of and what you can print on it. They apply to products sold in California, wherever the boxes are made.
- SB 54: by 2032, 100% of single-use packaging sold in California has to be recyclable or compostable. That covers shipping boxes and retail cartons. CalRecycle's SB 54 page has the full schedule.
- SB 343: the recycling symbol has rules. You can only print the chasing arrows if the material is actually collected and sorted for recycling in California, based on CalRecycle's SB 343 data. It applies to packaging made after October 4, 2026.
- SB 343 is paused, not gone. A federal court blocked enforcement on July 14, 2026 while the case continues. Print boxes that would pass either way.
Our take: soft-touch lamination undoes the point of a paper box. Our paper-first materials are 100% recyclable. Soft-touch and window film add a plastic layer the box didn't have. If you're selling in California, skip both and use a die-cut hole instead of a clear window. We make boxes, not legal calls, so check your labels with whoever handles compliance.

Do you have an office in Los Angeles?
No. Foldwell has no office, showroom or warehouse in Los Angeles. Our US representative is in Dallas, Texas. We work by email and ship the finished boxes to your address.
How long do custom boxes take to reach Los Angeles?
Production takes 10–12 days on most orders, counted from proof approval. Shipping to Los Angeles is on top of that. If you need boxes in your hands this week, buy stock boxes locally and switch to custom for the next run.
Can I print the recycling symbol on boxes sold in California?
Only if the material meets SB 343, which requires it to be collected and sorted for recycling in California. A federal court paused enforcement on July 14, 2026, but the law is still on the books. Paper boxes without a plastic layer are the safest starting point.
What is the minimum order for custom boxes in Los Angeles?
50 units per design, the same as everywhere we ship. That's enough to test a box with real customers before a bigger run.
Do you charge for structural design?
No. Structural design is $0. We draw the dieline around your product, and you only pay once you order boxes.

If nothing gets printed, a stock box supplier is cheaper and faster. We're worth it once the box carries your brand.

There's no LA counter to collect from. If you need boxes in hand today, a local Los Angeles supplier with stock is the right call.
